Athena Award

Created to honor individuals who attain and personify the highest level of professional excellence, the Chamber Athena Award recognizes the achievements of women and celebrates the potential of all women as valued members and leaders of the community.

Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom and skill, was renowned for her resolute courage, guided and enlightened by reason. The Athena spirit lives today in those individuals who not only have the vision and persistence to excel, but who also reach out and open the way for others.

Through local Chambers of Commerce, the prestigious Athena Award is presented in more than 300 communities throughout the country. The award does not eliminate any existing honors, but adds a vital dimension to the recognition of outstanding community leaders. Since the Chamber began presenting the award in 1988, Taylor Tempoary Services and CORESTAFF Services have sponsored the presentation.
