Flame for Learning Award

The Flame for Learning Award names the Johnston County School System's Teacher of the Year. It recognizes outstanding innovation and creativity in the classroom. The program is sponsored by the Chambers of Commerce in Johnston County and administered by the Smithfield-Selma Chamber. Each year, the award names 20 semifinalists, 3 finalists and a recipient. It is presented at a special banquet held in the spring. Previous award winners are:
