Jimmy Creech Small Business Person of the Year
Over 80 percent of the members of the Greater Smithfield-Selma Area Chamber of Commerce are small businesses. The Chamber recognizes the important contribution these tireless citizens make to the Smithfield-Selma community each year at the Annual Meeting.
This award is given in memory of 1976 Board Chair Jimmy Creech, who operated Creech’s Pharmacy in downtown Smithfield for over 50 years. It is presented to the outstanding small business owner in the community based on success, longevity and commitment to the community. It is sponsored by Stancil Oil Company of Selma.
