Johnston County YMCA

The Johnston County YMCA serves children, teens, families and seniors in a variety of programs. Volunteers and staff work together to build family and community relationships and to serve children and families in need through outreach efforts.

Currently, the Johnston County YMCA is affiliated with the YMCA of the Triangle and is led by a 20-member Board of Directors from across the county. The Board has just purchased land on Powhatan Road between Smithfield and Clayton for a new facility. A fundraising drive has been organized.

Existing area facilities are being used for a variety of programs. The Johnston County YMCA offers after school programs, summer day camps, youth sports programs, senior adult water aerobics, Youth & Government and Y-Indian Guides and Princesses.
