Several new executive style subdivisions surround picturesque Holt Lake, just south of Smithfield. These neighborhoods offer custom home sites, protective covenants, private streets, sidewalks and decorative lighting. Complimenting the amenities of the lake is the nearby Country Club of Johnston County, with its excellent Ellis Maples-designed golf course. Nearby subdivisons include: Berry Downs, British Court, Cyprus Point, Holt Lake South, Hunting Ridge, Lakeside and Lake Park Villas.

Booker Dairy Road / Buffalo Road

New, up-and-coming neighborhoods line this area, which is located just west of U.S. 301 between Smithfield and Selma. Most of the neighborhoods are less than 20 years old and offer quality single family and multi-family housing. The focal point of the area is Smithfield-Selma High School and, on adjacent property, Smithfield's Community Park and new aquatic center. Subdivisions include: Bradford Park, Eden Woods, Booker Dairy Plantation, Fairfield, North Chase and Northview.

Impressive southern homes, along tree-lined streets add charm to living in the two National Historic Districts of North Smithfield and Brooklyn. A variety of houses, from small quaint bungalows to premier Victorian mansions are available for purchase or rent.
