Elections, voting and running for office

The Johnston County Board of Elections is the agency charged with the administration of the election process in the Johnston County. The three member board is appointed by the County Commissioners. The county board reports to the North Carolina Board of Elections, which is charged with the adminstration of state elections and campaign finance disclosure.

The Johnston County Board of Elections handles voter registration, candidate filing, precincts and polling place, early and election day voting, and absentee ballots.
