Local business is keeping it local with new facility expansion - Grand Opening on Saturday, June 16.

    Smithfield— June 14, 2018
Town officials, County Commissioners and members of the Smithfield-Selma Chamber of Commerce gathered for a "Ribbon-Tying" Celebration to kick off the grand opening of Sound Station and Security’s newly-renovated showroom and service facility at the corner of Bright Leaf and Market Street.

A new signature event for the Chamber, the ribbon “tying” celebration involves the community partners who are tied to the project’s success. Each ribbon piece is tied to the other, signifying the collaboration of resources required for local economic expansion.

After spending years acquiring and cleaning up the surrounding property, the Mohamad family went to great lengths to keep the project in the hands of local businesses. From the flooring to the light fixtures, “keeping it local” to Smithfield and Johnston County was a special consideration throughout the renovation project.
As a part of MESA (Mobile Electronic Specialists of America), Sound Station and Security’s “modern and fresh” showroom goes beyond the typical model for car audio retailers, showcasing the cutting-edge SONOS product line, a game changer for home automation and the Sony “Home Theater” room.

The official grand opening takes place Saturday, June 16, (12:00 Noon – 5:00 PM).  Exciting giveaways include TVs, speakers and security systems, featuring a live DJ, food, and a Highway patrol simulator. This is a free event for the community to attend.
