A private donor has given $100,000 to the Partnership to Build a Miracle of Johnston County.  The Partnership is committed to raising 1.5 million dollars to build a Miracle League Baseball field and special needs park in Johnston County.

This complex will allow the over 4,000 special needs children in Johnston County as well as surrounding areas to play, like other children, without having to worry about accessibility.

“This is a great need in our county.” said Chris Key, Chairman of the Capital Campaign.  “We are excited that individual donors want to join the many coroparate sponsors, civic clubs, churches, and other organizations that have committed to ensure these children have a place to play with other kids and their families.”  The combined playspace will not only provide an opprotunity to play, but is designed to create a space for all children to learn, explore nature, exercise, and be creative.  It willl be a resource for many organizations and families in Johnston County.

The park will not just serve special needs children, but all children as well as seniors, who also often have mobility issues.  For more information contact the Partnership to Build a Miracle at 919-601-5080 or visit their website at partnershiptobuildamiracle.com.
