I am honored to have been elected by you to serve as Chair of the Greater Smithfield Selma Area Chamber of Commerce for 2013. Having been a member of the Smithfield 2013 Board Chair Earl W. Worley Jr.Selma business community for over 25 years, I am excited about the future for our community and our chamber.

Located in the center of one of the fastest growing counties in North Carolina, Johnston County, the Smithfield-Selma area has the opportunity to continue to attract and retain a vibrant, healthy, and growing business base.

During 2013, the Chamber will advance the torch for our two communities by returning to the basic principles of customer service and our Chamber’s mission, which is to promote and enhance our area’s economic, educational and social well-being by serving as a unified voice for the business community.  Your Board of Directors has worked hard to develop a strategic plan of work for the year and is dedicated to executing that plan.

The Greater Smithfield-Selma Area Chamber of Commerce is Johnston County's leading, membership-driven business organization. Our goal is simple - to help your business grow and to be of service to you – our customers. We invite you to participate in the many opportunities for networking, community involvement and business training.

Here are a few of the many activities our Chamber provides:
    • Business After Hours
    • Ambassadors Program
    • Professional Business Seminars
    • CWBN – Chamber Women’s Business Network
    • Leadership Johnston – a county wide leadership development course.
    • Business Expo
    • Golden Swing Golf Tournament and Reverse Raffle
If you are currently not a member, we encourage you to join and become involved in our exciting organization.  Working together as business associates and serving as one unified voice, we can accomplish much more than if we try to accomplish it on our own.  Join our vision to make Smithfield-Selma the community of choice for small business and industry by creating an attractive environment for those who live and work within our area of influence. We appreciate the trust that you, our members, have placed in us.  We thank you for your continued support, and pledge to continue our efforts to make the Greater Smithfield-Selma Area the preeminent place to live, work and visit.
